UKTSU held their first ‘True Potential’ personal statement workshop at University College London on the 21st September 2013. Tamil British students from Cambridge University, University of Oxford, London School of Economics, University College London and King’s College London collaborated with UKTSU to set up a Personal Statement workshop for the benefit of students applying for university in 2013.

“It was a successful event where university students passed on their knowledge to the youth to aid their progression into Higher Education.”

The purpose of the  event was to provide course-specific and uni-specific advice/aid to Year 13 and keen younger students, who were looking to apply to a certain course/university. The event was designed so that, for example, a student wanting to apply to Medicine at UCL could talk directly to a UCL Medical student about the uni, the course, and what to write on the personal statement for an allocated amount of time.
