SKYDIVE 2017

WHO ARE WE RAISING MONEY FOR?

Currently, Kilinochchi Hospital (North Sri Lanka) doesn’t have any echocardiogram machines, so patients have to travel from Kilinochchi to Jaffna (which is about 2 hours by public transport) to have an echocardiogram (scan of heart). Echocardiography is a painless and quick method to view the heart and its functions in adults, children and infants. It is used to diagnose and monitor heart conditions such as blood clots, fluid build-ups and heart attacks. This is an essential cardiac equipment that can be used in emergency situations and should be available in all hospitals.
This year we are fundraising to help buy an echocardiogram machine for Kilinochchi Hospital. This will benefit many patients and has the potential to save lives by helping diagnose heart conditions at an early stage, so that patients can begin their treatments much earlier.

This project is worth £10k and we are determined to reach this target in order to provide invaluable equipment that’ll enhance their healthcare checks.

On 20th of August, a group of brave people leaped from a plane through the air at 120 miles per hour in order to raise funds to help buy an echocardiogram machine for Kilinochchi Hospital. We would like to thank everyone who took part and their tremendous effort in raising funds for an amazing cause. This will benefit many patients and will save lives by helping diagnose heart conditions at an early stage, so that patients can begin their treatments much earlier. The money you raised will transform the lives by providing the right equipment and  enable them to get the right treatment they need.
